The mythology of Andrew Schoultz’s work is a perfect match for Arcadia. Nature and culture are entwined — in conflict and in cooperation. Andrew’s contribution to Arcadia: Artists Celebrate Trees, is a work of intense detail and passion. Schoultz’s work will be part of the live auction and should attract a lot of interest. Get over to www.fuf.net/arcadia to get tickets to Arcadia. The soiree and auction will be held Monday, April 23rd, 2007.

The simple beauty and conceptual purity of Donald Bradford’s donation to the Arcadia auction is something to behold. All of the artwork is of, or inspired by trees. Bradford’s work is a masterful expression of that theme.
The artists and artwork have been selected for the Arcadia live auction. It’s a great group of artists, excellent quality and a real diversity of styles. I love this piece by Josh Keyes – a cross-section of the earth. Be sure to check out all the Arcadia live auction art.
Most people know David Sifry as a technologist. But he has another side, a deep interest in photography. Check out Sifry’s donation to Arcadia: Artists Celebrate Trees. Arcadia benefits Friends of the Urban Forest—and the art auction is a great way for San Francisco’s technology community to give back to the greater community and acquire some great art at the same time. FUF has planted more than 40,000 trees in San Francisco. Imagine the City with 40,000 fewer trees and you can see what a difference FUF has made.
