And now on our Variety Show, a very special mashup. Robert Fripp meets Francis Ford Coppola, King Crimson meets Apocalypse Now, and the smell of napalm in the morning. As I’m sure you remember, it’s the smell of victory. I love the moment when a shell hits a few yards from Robert Duvall, and he doesn’t flinch or lose his train of thought.

Comments closedThe variety show had it’s heyday on television. Like the music hall before it, it’s no longer with us. If I programmed a variety show, it would get terrible ratings, would have a small but very loyal following that would write passionate and articulate articles when my show was cancelled.
